Phoenix Runaways

My submission for 's summer contest. These is a version of the Runways in which they acquired the power of the Phoenix Force. Now a little backstory:

Shortly after the Pride's fall, as well as Alex's death, the Runways escaped their foster homes and, after rescuing Old Lace from the Avengers, decided to livew on their own, feeling they couldn't trust an adult anymore

Unaware to the others, Nico was trying to use her magic to bring Alex back from the death, though all of her attempts ended up in failure. She was going to give up until one day, Molly casually mentioned the time Jean Grey of the X-Men was possessed by a cosmic almost god-like entity called the Phoenix Force, which has the power to bring the dead back to life. Unware of the forces she was toying with, the young witch used the Staff of the One in order to summon the Phoneix Force.

And the Phoenix answered the call. However, when she was completing the summon, the rest of her friends appeared, demanding what she was doing. Nico was startled, and she couldn't absorb the Phoenix Force properly. As a result, the Phoenix split into six parts, and each Runaway (Old Lace included) got one shard of the Phoenix.

Now the only question remains is what these dysfunctional children are going to do with near god-like power in their hands...

Man, I can't believe that it's finally done. This took me so long to finish, but now that I see the result I know it was worth it. Oh, and it's also my deviation #300, so double yay!

Their costumes are inspired by their usual clothes, the Phoenix Five armors, and their suits from the alternate universe in which the Runaways became the Young Avengers.
